Is today Monday? No school and so much going on leaves me dazed and confused about the time and day. Ordinarily, I'd probably be finishing up a turkey sandwich and figuring out long and slightly neurotic algebra problems. Instead, I'm happily typing away on my new laptop (my McDonald's diet coke, rightfully by my side) and awaiting for some relatives to arrive. They'll be so impressed by my high fashioned outfit (basketball shorts and a tank top..hehe). Note to self: I should probably change.
My Christmas was rather splendid. It was filled with wrapping paper covering almost every inch of the carpet; laughing till we cried over How The Grinch Stole Christmas starring Jim Carey; infatuating myself with The Last Song (I got the book for Christmas and am in love!); chex mix, chex mix, chex mix; seeing my darling cousin Katelyn; playing hide and seek in my grandma's house; and much, much more. I'm so thankful for everything I have. My family, my friends, my Savior, and all those material blessings.
I hope your Christmas was very, very merry and that you had a blast celebrating it with your loved ones. This special holiday may be over, but just ahead is a year so bright you may need to wear sunglasses (haha...LAME).
And I hope you took the time to remember what Christmas is really about:
A small child, Innocent and pure, wrapped up in cloth by his mother - a virgin. He came to save us all from everything we fear. Everything we cry over, everything we worry about...he came to save. He came to teach. He came to restore what needed to be restored. Love. Hope. Faith. We may be tossing the red and green, but the story of Jesus will continue to stay in our hearts. I hope everyone reading this has trusted Him with their life! :)
